Don't tell me postage fees are $15 to $20. This is too much! I've sent the gent an email with no reply. What are my odds with this thing? Oh well.

    USD=U.S. Dollars.
  • thats a real hit to take on such a small item. He does post the real cost but poorly. you may be able to back out without too much trouble. I know I wouldnt want to pay four times cost just for shipping. If you do get stuck, call UPS or Fedex and see if you can get a better deal. His English doesnt seem very strong, so good luck. Kris

  • I sent a coin to Germany by registered mail a couple months ago, and in a bubble mailer, it cost about $11.50 just for the postage. So coming from Hong Kong, $15 sounds about right. I suppose he might be cheaper if you live in Hong Kong or China.
  • UPS and/or fedex will easily be asking $25+ They don't do stuff cheap.

    If you ever come acroos an item where the postage is high, just wait. Another simular item with lower costs will come around sometime.
  • This is what the guy is saying:

    I accept Paypal or Cash. Registered Air mail( S/H/I )+ USD 15.

    Unfortunately, it seems to mean he wants you to pay the postage PLUS $15. Of course it's 7 am here too....

    I have learned to read shipping costs very carefully, and if it seems excessive, I move on to another auction...

  • Some comments and I hope It may be helpful.

    I live in Norway. I have had several shipments to me, from bubble envelops to large boxes.

    I am right now looking at two bubble envelops received from the USA. One had a single coin in a flip, the other a PCGS slabbed Oregon. Both came air mail. One has postage on it for $3.20 the other $1.60. I received both in less than 7 days from time of the postage cancellation stamp. I also recieved a package from the USA recently that weight over 16 pounds, all coins. It cost $45.00 in post expense..it took 9 days.

    I accept that posting is expensive from the US to here, but I have found that the range I just mentioned is normal and to me acceptable.

    Some real time experience. Hope it helps with your decision.
