realizing that all of you were at the ILNA show last weekend, it bugs me that I may have stood right beside one or more of you in front of a dealers table. I was there all day Friday. I think it would be fun to meet sometime at a show and talk coins.
Are any of you going to the Silver Dollar show in STL next month?
Anyone else reading this thread is also welcomed to reply.
Thanks,
Jon

FORUM MEMBER with your Icon and nickname in bold letters? That way people can come up to you and
introduce themselves. Bear

I had considered that however I do not have a bullet proof vest and don't want to take any chances.
Dragon
Any way, you are not a newbee. I would think most people could
identify you by your long tail, wings, scales and fire breathing capacity.
There are just not a lot of dragons that attend coin shows. Bear

Bear,
The badge thing sounds like a good idea, especially if everyone did it.
Dorkkarl,
I guess I worded that wrong. It bugged me that I did not know I could be standing next to a forum member, sorry.

Don't know about the hat thing, but we need to do something. We just have a little over 4 weeks to figure something out.

P.S. I was reading the thread on full horn buffs. I have seen choice bu coins without full horn and these could not be down graded to fine because of that! A good anology was made when compared to the 26-D SLQ. Maybe a strike desgination should be used like the full band mercs and full head slq's. That would account for the price difference. I have a very nice 27-D merc in 65 with 80-90% bands. If it had the other 10-20% it would have cost $7000-8000 instead of $900. And you couldn't tell the difference by looking at the 2 coins obverses. To me hair detail is more important than bands. JMHO.
Hey post 1234, almost a straight
Jim,
Sorry to hear that. I think it's going to be a good show. I feel it in my bones or maybe that's just old age sneaking up on me.
