OPINIONS!

imageI guess belonging DOES have its privileges! My posting of an upcomming auction of a WEST POINT commemorative seems to have stirred the broth!Being new to the FORUM,I assumed that the sale of a Registry quality commemorative may be of interest to folk who are building such a set.Making this announcement on the PCGS Registry Forum seemed like the place to announce it.From the offers and inquiries that I have recieved,my offer was welcome by many, but not appreciated by a few.It is to the few that I offer my apology. After searching around PCGS,and viewing past messages,I thought my posting would be appropriate fodder to chew on!And chew we are!It is reasonable to believe that when you have thousands of people in a forum type setting, everybody won't always agree.I myself, simply appreciate the opportunity to be here rambling on!Again,my apologizes to those I have offended,Zebra.

Zebra - You are very important to us on the Forum. We have dragons, geese, bears, dogs eagles and such
but we have never had a zebra. Welcome to the zoo. Bearimage

  • Zebra,

I don't think that you did anything wrong. If I read your post correctly, you were offering the coin to the forum members before you were going to list it on eBay. I believe that this is one of the reasons for this forum! I hope that a member picked it up, and you didn't have to list it! image

Posting sales of coins here that are of high quality and obvious potential interest to Registry participants, is not only appropriate, but appreciated, in my opinion.
  • Zebra,

You did nothing wrong. There are 4-5 posts of coin sales to this board every day. I was surprised that your post was hit with a few negatives. I haven't seen that in a while.

Also, Zebra the main guy that was putting negatives was nice enough to appologize when he realized that he was at fault, so don't worry.

No harm done to anyone image

image Well,Bear,I just happen to own a few acres of blueberry fields. But,I'm afraid the nearest Starbucks is about 350 miles away! I'll try to think of a way to get it done,Zebra.

  • Zebra18, First of all...welcome. as you have heard in this thread, you committed no error. As time passes, you will also find that most of the stink here is caused by the few. I think your WP MS70 is something that should be offered on this forum, I wish it was mine...lol.image

Thanks,Gary. I thought someone may have wanted the WP for a Registry set. A forum called "PCGS REGISTRY SET FORUM" seemed to this newby, like a place to offer this MS70 to somebody who may have needed it! Oh well,to each their own!image

    Oh yeah,almost forgot,the West Point MS70 sold this morning!image

What a laugh! My wife's wondering if I've lost it.

    Zebra18

What a great icon! How well did you do on the sale? I don't collect these but nobody has asked.
