  • If there nice coins, don't have to be gems or even MS64's just not ugly baggie then anything under 100 bucks these days seem to be ok. if you can get nice ones under 90 jump all over them.
  • I have found that it really depends on how you present them in an online auction, pictures, layout, etc. It's the presentation as well as the eye appeal of the coin. Some of these coins can be very, very good and command quite a price - while others have been beat up and shaken around so much that they have wear marks all over them from being inside the case.

I agree w/agnetjim though - under $90 is a STEAL. In extremely good condition with lots of mint frost and luster - up to $200 - possibly more.

    its4real,

The coins may be "beat up," but it's from the other coins in the bags they were stored with, not the cases. The plastic cases are significantly better than the PCGS green label slabs and possibly even better than the current blue slabs.

  • I agree with you Steve.
They also show wear at the contact points with the GSA case. If the case has been rattled around a lot - you can see wear developing on the high points of the coins

Around 100.00. The 82 might be a few dollars more.

    MAULUMALL,

Here are the latest (Sept 9 Coin World) published sight-unseen GSA buy prices for a few dealers:

    Covina Coin
    1882-CC - $96.00
    1883-CC - $92.00
    1884-CC - $92.00

    Robert S. Riemer
    1882-CC - $95.00
    1883-CC - $92.00
    1884-CC - $92.00

    Harold B. Weitz
    1882-CC - $90.00
    1883-CC - $83.00
    1884-CC - $83.00

These guys would typically want the boxes and the cards included and would not want to buy coins where the holders were banged up badly.

    Hope this helps.
