Pat Burrell was way overrated until his breakout season this season but I don't think he'll even have a 40+ HR year which many people think he will...That just shows he's overrated.
And I agree, Troy Glaus is overratted as well...he hits for power, but that's about it. He was a guy who was very overrated when he came into the big leagues. Good power hitter...but that's about all he has.
He (Burrell) is sitting on 35 homers, so he has a shot at 40. But will he ever hit .300 or better? I doubt it. He's another McGwire or Sosa, pure power hitter. I'll get my Vladdy plug in too, he's at 35 homers too, as well as in the top 10 in avg, 31 stolen bases, and leading the NL in hits. Underrated? Hmmmm....
I know I might get a little heat for this...but Vladimir Guerrerro is the best hitter in the National League...I don't care what anyone says! This guy is simply amazing! He can hit ANY pitch...and I mean ANY pitch that's thrown...whether it's inside and up...inside and in...inside and low...etc. outside, outside and low, outside and high...yeah, ok...you get the point. But, if the Expos are contracted and there's a draft...you KNOW that owners are going to want a shot at this guy. Not only does he hit for power...he hits for clutchness and hits for a high average. He's definitely one of the top 5 players in the MAJORS period! There's nothing else you can say...except he has an awesome arm and is a great outfielder to boot...

I don't know why you'd get heat for that, it's the truth. There is NO Better hittter in the NL in than him. A-Rod, however, is flat out, THE best hitter in the Majors, without a doubt.
People would more than likely give some heat for that comment because they might think's "overrated" because they haven't seen enough of him to even give an opinion...so most of the time, the opinion is a negative one since they don't "hear" about him much...he's definitely the best hitter in the NL. If anyone wants to argue that...then bring it on!
A-rod is DEFINITELY the best hitter in all of baseball right now...he's amazing.
