this coin resides in a pcgs proof65 holder and is a no brainer undergraded coin and is a 66/67 closer to 66 though. this coin is deeply mirrored and with no hairlines when examined carefully. the toning is medium to deep keeping this coin from a 66 as per the standards of pcgs and this is okie as i would rather have a coin that if i broke it out of the holder it would be worth more! as many would grade this 66+ and rightly so!!
with the deep mirrors and eye appealling colors this coin really knocks your socks off when viewed in person. the toning on this coin consists of burnt orange-peach rims to electric blue centers both sides.
on the obverse in the field at 3 pm i think part of the material of the caswe or cabinet this coin rested in "sat" touched the coin. hence the pattern, unusual toning whatever you call it. actually there are NO hairlines in this area so i suspect this coin was not wiped.
nonetheless this is a totally original unmessed with coin! in gem uncirculated this coin is very rare to non existant which puts pressure on the proofs from date collectors. this coin was the highlight of a large auction a few years ago from a collection of a gentleman who collected around the middle part of the last century.
if the obverse of this coin looked the the reverse this would be a no brainer lock 67 coin!
i have seen this coin in person and the opinions expressed as above are my own, currently in an eastern collection.

Nice coin.
" I would rather have a coin that if i broke it out of the holder it would be worth more! "
Yes, a sometimes overlooked point is that slabbing a PQ coin can actually lower it's market value.
You have the right coin. I just got the file below 50K and was about to post it.
