I'll tell you what, shooting colored coins is a heck of a lot harder then doing garden variety DCAMs.
You have to go through more angles then a game of twister.
Large scans here, if anybody's interested:
Toned 1971 obverse.
Toned 1971 reverse.
Warning for dialuppers: When I said large, I meant it.

Interesting that you should choose the word "slither". He is, after all, a lawyer.

A little less germane to the issue, but, I interpret your littlewicher comment to have less to do with lw being able to afford the coin than with lw being willing to pay for it.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Actually, since LW has repeatedly told us what a skilled Doctor he is, I figure he can just make one.

I guess you don't want to sell the coin. I have a lot higher budget then most 15 year olds.

This is really breaking me out of my sadness today. I needed something to cheer me up a little. One of my friend's mother committed suicide yesterday and I've really been down about it. Just me talking about it makes me wanna cry and cry. I have to cheer up a little more.........

What I paid for it bears no relationship to what I would sell it for.
Godspeed to your friend and his family.

Don't ya just love how the wonderful slab reflects all that light...argh! I hate slabs!
Anyway, what type of light did you use?

I use GE Reveal bulbs to shoot all my coins. The number of bulbs and wattages vary depending on the type of coin. For this one, I used three 100 watt bulbs coming in from different angles.
Russ, NCNE
I'm going to try the bulb out this weekend and probably update my thread I had on this subject.
