I just bought this huge collection of old coins. This is BY FAR the best value of any auction I have ever offered on Ebay. The best I can figure, this old Antique trunk has way over 100,000 Coins in it. There are tons of old wheat cents, and there are literally thousands of old Mercury dimes, Buffalo Nickels, and Indian Head Pennies. Not to mention, there are 1943 steel pennies everywhere. I have even seen a few Barber coins. In addition I also bought a hug bag of old SILVER quarters.
These coins were hoarded by a farmer for many years. He also had bags and bags of old Morgan Dollars, Peace Dollars, Walker Halves and lots of other coins that he had already sold.
I am selling this entire collection by the half pound. We are scooping out a batch, weighing them, bagging and shipping them. This collection is completely unsearched! We aren't removing one coin!
In addition to the 70+ unsearched Wheat Pennies that will be in each lot, as we bag them we are doing our best to make sure EACH HALF POUND BAG has at least: 1 - Mercury Dime 1 - Buffalo Nickel 1 - Indian Head Penny 1 - Old Silver Quarter 1 - 1943 Steel Penny
Hmm...
They're not going to search them, and they're not going to remove any coins, yet somehow they'll try to make sure each bag has certain coins. If they're just scooping them out and weighing them, then you shouldn't be surprised if you get no silver. If you get one of each, then they are selecting certain coins.
Gee whiz, there are bargains all over eBay! Husbands' estates, farmers' hoards, crazy old maids' 55 gallon drums of coins... wow!
Sorry to add to the slam dunk negative tone of the forum.......BUT
What A Crock Of Sheep Dung!
The farmer liked putting all his coins in a big trunk too heavy to move and easily found by robbers? The seller didn't lie, she just forgot to add that the farmer was a coin collector and these are his duplicates?

I dunno, but this one is in my top ten all time favorite e-bay auctions now. 70 wheats for 13 bucks and consider it a GREAT deal. Thing that realy gets me, is they are SELLING!

Then I realized it was for the farmers coins, not his milkmaid.
