Best image software

What the best software for editting coin photo's and scans? I use microsoft publisher for scanning and editting and I'm not happy with it.

I am totally in love with Visioneer Paperport and MGI PhotoSuite...both came with my visioneer scanner, but I also am able to use them with my Nikon dig camera.

I use InfranView....it's small, easy to use and does all the basic photo editing functions; brightness, contrast, gamma and color adjustments....best of all it's free....

Photoshop is the end-all and be-all of image editing. It is the professional standard. It can do everything that is possible to do at this time digitally to photography.

I second PhotoShop but for those on a Tighter budget Jasc's Paint Shop Pro is a pretty good alternative. ($99.00 downloadable version)

If you can't afford the complete version of Photoshop, like me, they have a nice package called Adobe Photoshop Elements that does everything I need to do, at a very good price. Mark
