It's even one of the rare "white specked" Accented Hair varieties.
Nothing to snipe tonight, so I thought it would be fun to have one of these contests. Five coins, all are PCGS slabs. Winner will be determined by closest to grade total for all coins combined minus the points off on each individual coin. Points deducted for incorrect CAM (1) or DCAM (2) desigations. In the event of a tie, first guesses win.
Please PM guesses so as not to influence others. Contest will run until 7 PM Pacific tomorrow (Sunday 08.18.02).
Now, before all of you head to my site for clues, I'll tell you that none of these coins reside in either of my sets.
COIN #1: PR64
COIN #2: PR68CAM
COIN#3: PR67DCAM
COIN #4: PR69
COIN #5: PR67CAM
Let the games begin!

Russ - Does the first coin have a doubled reverse? Lettering looks sharply doubled, especially at the bottom.
NOTE: No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

No. I think a train must have gone by and jiggled the camera.
Well, I'm headed home for the night. I'll check new PMs in the morning.

First, nobody got #1 correct, and only four mentioned that it was an Accented Hair. That wasn't part of the contest, just thought it was interesting. Personally, I think your grading guesses on the coin were more accurate then what PCGS decided.
The overwhelming majority of you nailed #2 dead on. Kudos!
The majority of you also correctly identified #3 as a DCAM, although most assigned it a higher grade then did PCGS - I wish!
The majority of you incorrectly identified #4 as a CAM, but also undergraded it.
Most identified #5 as a CAM, which it is, but the grades were all over the map.
The PCGS assigned grades for the coins were:
Coin #1: PR64
Coin #2: PR68CAM
Coin #3: PR67DCAM
Coin #4: PR69
Coin #5: PR67CAM
Total grade points of 335. On each submission I added up the number of points off on each coin, either over or under, then deducted them from the total of 335. Then I deducted a point for adding a CAM, or missing a CAM, or calling a CAM a DCAM or vice-versa. There were a couple of cases where #4 was identified at a DCAM - since it has no CAM designation at all, that resulted in a two point deduction.
After all that, we ended up with a three-way tie at 329 points between:
Jakemrjr
Hookedoncoins
Airplanenut
This means I had to go to the tiebreaker, which was first in. Now, I'm kind ot tired tonight, so I'll let you guys know tomorrow.
Just kidding!
The winner is:
Airplanenut.
