Grade Estimates... 1882 & 1884-CC GSA Morgans Added: Should I slab?

    I like to be able to see the color of coin but I would say both are good 64's.

    MS64 on both.
    For me-collecting coins for fun.For my children-their future.

    84 looks like a solid MS64 and the 82 a 64 also, but unlike a couple others I like the 84 better.

    64 sounds about right for both. I sure like those coins I have an 84cc I have not looked at for a few years I think I will dig that one up today and see if it's improved any since I last looked at it.image mike

    Thanks everyone. I'm considering selling these & need to decide if I should slab them first. A PCGS MS64 GSA will clearly bring more than raw in the holder. If one hit 65, that would be a nice bonus. Should eithger come out 63, that would basically be a loss of my grading fees. Too bad no grading service would certify them in the original holder!

    PCGS will label them GSA if they are submitted in the holders... I just hate to bust another holder!

    Most would tell you leave them in original GSA holders.

    I'll go against the grain. I like the 84 as an MS65 and the 82 as an MS64. However, it's tough to grade any coin looking at a scan.

    In both cases, I'd find a buyer with the coins in the GSA holders and save the time and money for certification.

    As I collect these gsa's, I will say people will pay a premium in gsa holder also. My feelings would be to keep it in gsa holder. If you are looking for profit even if they do come back 65 these common dates are not going to bring that much. After shipping, grading fees , and time involved you might come out even.

    Really weak struck 64 dogs. They are very clean though. You can sell them better in the GSA holder.
    Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
