Here is a true Braddick special

This is a 71d Ike I found in a store in Palo Alto, Ca. Pat has already made room in the collection for it. The back is just as impressive. It's a funny thing, I had more fun telling the dealer and a couple customers about why I wanted to buy this coin, yet it causes my head to hurt to try to make someone understand that while I am looking for a coin graded very low, it is important that it looks nice. This thing has alot of character.

I fell in love with this one as soon as I saw the scan! I can now begin a PCGS grading set as this will be my FA02 that'll go next to my PCGS AG03 (thanks to Greg) and my PCGS GD04 (thanks to Jim Barlow)! I also have one in FN15!
Tom was a gentleman and could have gouged me on the price (but didn't) as I really wanted this one!

There is a special place set aside for this one already.

The guy I got it from honestly thought he had a P-01 when he sent it to PCGS for grading and slabbing. I'm not sure if he carried it around for 15 or 20 years or what.

He did state that he thought it was an experimental strike! I am not sure if he was pulling my leg or not.
