Who are the "night owls?"

I seem to be visiting this forum late at night (Texas time). Especially when I am sitting in a hotel room out of town on business, which is quite frequently these days. At home, I catch myself at this place after Leno! I have a feeling we have several members doing the "late shift". I can name a few, but would like to see you admit it. image Ok guys and gals, admit it.

  • Jeff: Understand the West Coast time shift. Even after ten is still fairly late. Heck, it's 1:00 am here in Texas and I am still poking around. But my timer is running down. Keep up the good work!

You're right Fly, but there is a big difference between the East/West coast time zones and the Central/Mountain. In the Central (I grew up in Chicago) the news comes on at 10:00 and sleepy time soon follows, but in the east and west, the news doesn't even come on till 11:00, so going to bed at 11:30 or Midnite isn't that late. Even so, I got stuck watching the bad news bears on TBS last night, came on at midnite (3:00 Eastern) and I finished at 2:00 then turned on CNBC and Morning call was on as it was 5:00 in NYC and people were already getting to work, but I was going to bed! Of course I had the day off today, so I could sleep in.

If I am not on I'net here in N San Diego County, you will find me on Ham Radio at night. Not much else to do at 68 and retire. Sure don't have to go to work tomorrow morning. Work, what's that? Don't believe the BS about retirement, sort of boring. Would perfer to be 20 again in the Air Force.

Sometimes I don't go to sleep for 2 or 3 days. Even when I have a job I never go to bed before 1 or 2 am, and if it's cold, raining or the subcontractors don't have their stuff together I stay home so you may find me posting at any time.

Alan does not like the internet. He sleeps in the other room when I'm online. I keep his light off. If he stays up all night with me, he is very cranky the next day.

Construct, I can understand Alan's being upset. I have 2 cats, EZ and Ryder, and they don't know why I sometimes burst out laughing while staring at the CRT and typing furiously. Also, they try to walk in front of the screen and get on the keyboard. They must be jealous.
