Atlanta - With the acquisition of Glenn Robinson the Hawks have something they were lacking all last season – a set starting line-up. The projected starting lineup has Theo Ratliff playing center, Robinson and Shareef Abdur-Rahim as the forwards, and DerMarr Johnson and Jason Terry playing in the backcourt. Coach Lon Kruger has stated that the starting shooting guard position is up for grabs, but the strong defensive play of Johnson at the Shaw tournament should lead to him obtaining the starting gig.

Chicago - Sources report that the Bulls are in talks concerning the acquisition of point guard Sam Cassell from the Milwaukee Bucks. Cassell would fill the need of a veteran presence on the team to provide leadership, steadiness and scoring to the young Bulls. The team would, in return, give Travis Best and Jamal Crawford in the deals discussed so far. The acquisition of Cassell would immediately improve the outlook of the Bulls for the 2002-2003 season.

San Antonio - The Spurs are looking for a trade partner to make a three-way deal with Cleveland work. The Cavs want Antonio Daniels, and they would like to unload Lamond Murray. Murray would like to play for a playoff team. Can the Spurs find a taker for Steve Smith and upgrade their 2-guard spot? That is the question of the week for Greg Popovich.

Looks like the Hawks will be saving $125 on every season ticket holder this year... They guarentee they would make it to the playoffs and if they didn't, every season ticket holder would receive a $125 check...

Hehe, yeah, and I'll be one of those people who recieve a $125 check if they DON'T make it to the playoffs this season. I'm already scheduled to go to about 5 Hawks games this season (including against the Lakers...HELL YEAH!), so, it should be really fun. I expect the Hawks to play very well this season, especially since everyone is injury free (Ratliff, Crawford, etc.)...

Where did you hear about the bucks/bulls rumor? You got a link? And if anyone knows anything about Best and Crawford can ya lmk? Just basic stuff liek position and if they are good scorers, rebounders, defenders, etc.
