not likely an 1856. Probally more on the lines of an 1858 .. And anyhow how do we know if it is even a real coin it could be a copy with the copy worn off

Im unemployed again after 1.5 years with Kittyhawk they let me go.
I like how he says he found the coin in a closet!!!
I usually find coins worth thousands of dollars just hanging out in a closet too. Just yesterday I found an 1895 Morgan, a couple of 1907 HR $20 double eagles and an 1804$...all just laying around in a closet!!
Yeah, me too. Recently, I found a 1933 Double Eagle, in very mint condition. But thinking it was a copy, I sold to some guy from Sotheby's. Wonder what happened to it?!
.....GOD
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
that's what I was waiting for someone to notice! I emailed the seller this note last night right after it showed up on ebay.......
"just a quick polite note. the coin is an 1858 Small Lettered Cent. Look at some of them on ebay and compare. Specifically the word AMERICA. The base of the A and M do not touch at all, which is a giveaway that it is a '58 small letters. Look on my "ME" page and you will see a real one to compare the lettering to. take care."
lets see what happens... wow just got a note back.......
"Thanks for the info, I updated the auction with the info you provided, other than what somebody is will to pay; can you help me with what the coin maybe worth."
I suggested he cancel the one bid and relist it, titleing it properly so someone doesn't get overzealous and bid without reading his addendum.
