C.A. Strange was a brass foundry located on Central Street in Bangor, Maine. This date is not listed in the Brunk book.

1912 Barber Dime PCGS UNC details, cleaned, (#57260658).
This is a very nice looking piece for a cleaned coin.
It was lightly cleaned many years ago, and then likely stored in an album where it toned up naturally.
It has some obvious die polish lines, along with a few hairlines from the cleaning.
In my opinion it has MS64 (or better) details with considerable PL surface on the reverse.
The natural rainbow toning on both sides is as pretty in-hand as it appears in the pic.
The upper photo (my pic) shows a better representation of the color than does the True View below.

c. 1863 Civil Ware Era Store Card. F. GEISS BROTHERS. Detroit MI.
Frederick Gies issued a number of Detroit Store Cards. Three different spellings are noted for this series of Store Cards - Gies, Geis and Geiss. Gies is the correct last name and spelling. Three of the four Gies dies have "& Bros. (Brothers)" on the die after the last name. This Store Card advertises "F. Geiss & Bros." Fire & Water Proof Roofing business located at the corner of Cong (Congress) and Brush Streets, Detroit. The 1863 Detroit city directory has a listing for this business, "Gies, F & Bro (Frederick Gies, Paul Gies, John Gies), composition roofing, 93 and 95 Congress e." This is likely the correct match for this Store Card, and the three Gies are likely brothers as noted on both the token and in the advertisement. The spelling "GEISS" on the token is an error on the die maker's part. Many of the Gies Store Cards remained in family hands for almost 100 years and eventually this hoard was sold into the market......$70 plus $5 shipping.
