1820 O.104 PCGS AU55 CAC

By far the TOUGHEST 1820 die marriage to find (next to the R5 O.107) especially in AU and higher grades.

The coin has excellent luster for the grade and very nice surfaces with beautiful underlying iridescent toning throughout (not well seen in the photos) with a mixture of pretty blues, golds, amber and even some aqua green mixed in. Awesome eye appeal!

It sold almost 10 years ago through Sheridan Downey in June 2015 where he described it as “a lustrous example with original toning and no marks worth mention.”

A very nice, similarly graded (albeit darker) O.104 just sold in January in Sheridan’s MB59 auction for $6710!!

1809 O.108a XXX Edge PCGS VF30 CAC.

It has very nice surfaces with some pretty toning as well, however softly struck which is the norm for this die marriage. A very eye appealing example for sure!
