THIS GIVEAWAY IS IN APPRECIATION OF EVERYTHING THAT @RICKO AND I TALKED ABOUT REGARDING COINS AND OUR MANY OTHER HOBBIES AND PASSIONS OVER THE YEARS

Nota Bene........each giveaway will include a special items not shown below!

ALSO.....I WILL PROBABLY NOT SEND THESE PRIORITY MAIL, I WILL USE A LESS EXPENSIVE METHOD WITH USPS....SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW HERE WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT.

Just some protective organizing things here.
Plus, a bonus item[s].

Free shipping.

Entries should say something nice about another member of this forum.
Based on the number of entries here on January 11 @ 11:59 PM EST I will select a winner based upon an equation that I have derived involving the number PI .

The Babylonians (c. 2000 bc) used 3.125 to approximate pi, a value they obtained by calculating the perimeter of a hexagon inscribed within a circle and assuming that the ratio of the hexagon’s perimeter to the circle’s circumference was 24/25.

In the early 21st century computers calculated pi to 100 trillion decimal places, as well as its two-quadrillionth digits when expressed in binary (0).

Mind Blown !!!!

I love PI and have had success using it in many calculations.

Best of luck to all,
boston

The gift:

Approx. 80 x twenty pocket protective pages for 2x2 coin holders

Approx. 15 x 3 Currency holder pages

Nota Bene........each giveaway will include a special item[s] not shown above!

    Thanks.
@ChrisH821 cracked put a 1909 S VDB for the Lincoln Roadshow Folder project. More than a dozen others contributed key and semi-key coins, as well as other coins with significance. I signal Chris because his choice was the hardest.

Thanks @Creg , Fraz(Who was banned for some reason that I missed) was the one who set the whole project up, and I think he provided the 14-D. @Farmer_Bill provided the 31-S.
That reminds me I still need to find a replacement for that to go into my old Whitman Classic album.

Thanks. My pick is @lordmarcovan . Over on the Coin Talk forum he has monthly giveaways. He has a pool of coins that you pick from. Many $20+items.

While I feel guilty not naming so many forum members who have been so generous with their time and libraries and even coins I would select @Bikergeek. He has spent so much time helping and teaching me regarding Capped Bust Half Dimes I could never repay him. Thanks Sean for all you have done and thank you
    @1630Boston for the giveaway.

@ajaan has been a friend for decades, since I was new on this site.

@tibor was kind enough to mention me, so I’ll mention him in response, and add that he’s my mentor in the field of early dated (pre-1500) European coins.

I also tip my hat to the many friends on these boards who took up a collection to send me on the metal detecting adventure of my lifetime, in England in the fall of 2013. Y’all know who you are, even if I’ve forgotten the full list of names 12 years later.

I’m just now hitting the road for Orlando and the ‘25 FUN show. Hope to see some of you there. I’ll be wearing my trademark top hat with holey coins on it.

Wow...#1 of 26 Giveaways? How ambitious! So many members that deserve praise...miss @Ricko as well, he always had something worthwhile to say...and who could forget his trademark Cheers? How about @jmlanzaf ? Someone who is really paying attention to these boards and can keep some threads very lively! You know what he would say about PI? LOL....He'd probably say it's just irrational~

I do not know anyone on this board except by postings but i believe the poster @OAKSTAR . has made it clear he is a raw coin collector. I would think he would have use for 2x2 materials. James

Thanks, I pick @emeraldATV to talk about. Although he appears to be obsessed with parking lot coins and Pareidolia, there is a lot that he could teach us if given the right opportunity. He was a graphic designer and did work printing things, all back in the day before computers, and knows things most of us have never heard of.
