I looked at the post where joel made that offer. How firm was the deal between you and Belfan to make any deal? If it was pretty much finalized, belfan would be more in the wrong for backing out than joel would be for making his offer, although joel did seem somewhat discourteous in his dealings. However, unless a deal was essentially finalized, I don't see any wrongdoing...

Well, I don't blame the guy for wanting the $300. That's a good deal for a card that books $300. The deal wasn't finalized but we almost definately would have worked something out because I am desperate for the card and I would have made him a trade deal that was in his favor. joelwalter should have just said ok to the fact the we were working out the deal instead of intentionally trying to snipe the card from underneath me.

i don't know who is right or wrong, but don't you need at least 10 posts in here to start whining? Unbelieveable! It is getting to the point where you need to weed through 95% of the posts in here to find the 5% that are actually worth reading.If somebody would invent a bulls@it filter in here, I'd only be reading about 10 good posts a day! Just my opinion though.And you know what they say about opinions!

I think that you will find that most people on this board are courteous....if one person demonstrates interest first most others will fall into line behind and ask to be considered if a deal doesn't work out. The other thing that you will find is that we all want to get the best deal for our cards. Sometimes these two ideals clash. Until both parties agree conclusively that it is a trade, I believe that it is a seller's right to entertain any offers that may be available to them. Courteous and gentlemanly it may not be.....but it's not bad trading practices either.

That's my 2 cents.

I agree with you kls. I know it's fair for people to want to get the most for their cards. I'm just frustrated because I've wanted this card for a while and when I find a reasonable deal on one, it falls through. I've turned this card before because people want to much for it. I've bought other RC's from the set for 20% to 50% and I don't want to pay full book for it. It's not worth that much. I agree it's between those two as to what happens in their deal but this whole thing sucks on my end.

I have yet to make a deal with JoelWalter...yet. Like I told you in an e-mail. I do need the Henderson RC. And you were going to look for other things as well. And I have yet to look to see if I needed the Ripken RC. If I take his offer, it is with much regret that I offended you. I told you that you had 1st shot, and you do. Anybody here that has dealt with me before will tell you that I'm fair to deal with (A little picky too ). However, I'm not entirely sure that we can work out a deal, no offense, but I'm looking mostly for new stuff, and you told me that you had put most of it on eBay already. I sincerely hope that this doesn't ruin any future trades we may work out. I do have a ton of Reds & Blues that you need too. If so, I'm sorry.
The rest of you, I appreciate your opinions, and for your information, if Wabittwax has enough of what I need it is my intention to trade with him. I just don't think he has enough of what I'm looking for to trade for a card of that value (like I said, I'm picky).
