BJ - Registry Question

How does the sorting work when a set is tied?

I'm part of the 54 way tie on Sac proofs (about in the middle) and when I added the 2002, I wound up on the bottom of the list.
But I've also seen people upgrade into a tie, and wind up on the top of the group.

What's up?

The start Date of the set. Older sets...... go to the top of the line.

    Welcome relayer,

When two or more sets end in a tied set rating, they are listed in order of set creation. Your set, being the last created for that series, would be at the end of any tied sets until new sets are created after yours. Any set currently with a lower set rating can still be upgraded and if it happens to tie the set rating also, will also surpass your set in the tied position if it was initially created before your set.

Bottom line - PCGS only uses the set rating and the initial creation date for set position. Dave

Welcome Relayer, from another relative newcomer. The boards are fun, and the Set Registry too, despite carping and whining on the part of some of the board denizens about the way PCGS runs the Registry.

Spooly and Dave: Is there any way to view the creation dates of sets, or is that information known only to PCGS? I don't see dates anywhere when viewing sets.
