FS: 1909-S Indian Head Cent MS64 RB | Added 1837 Bust Dime NGC MS63
For sale is my 1909-S Indian Head cent. I purchased this in January 2010 from Paul Mundt (commoncents05). His description of the coin:
“1909-S Indian Head Cent PCGS certified MS64RB. A nice high-grade example of this key date to the Indian series. Lowest mintage of the series. This one has strong details and pleasant woodgraining on both sides. A few very minor carbon spots are noted. PCGS TrueView image included.”
It has not been to CAC, just sitting in my safe the last 11+ years. PCGS price guide is at $2,400 and CDN/CPG is at $2,310. CAC price guide is $1,900. The last three auctions brought $1,740, $2.040 and $2,160. The cheapest one on e-bay is at $2,300. Yours for $1,775 (check, PPFF) which includes insured shipping.
Adding my 1837 dime to the sale, purchased from the same seller who gave this description:
1837 Capped Bust Dime NGC MS63. JR-4 variety which is an R-1. A very attractive type coin, with nice luster on both sides. The obverse has blue and purple toning over generally mark free surfaces. The reverse is nearly fully white, with some light golden toning around the rims. A die crack extends from 12:00 to 5:00 on the obverse, confirming the variety. A very nice example for a type collection.
PCGS and CAC guides list a value of $1,750 to $1,810, the last auction I could find was almost 3 years ago so not applicable. Asking $1,555 delivered.
