first-place New York Yankees acquired Jeff Weaver from Detroit early Saturday in a three-team trade that also included Oakland.

As part of the deal, the Athletics sent first baseman Carlos Pena to the Tigers and the Yankees dealt pitcher Ted Lilly to Oakland

Detroit also got a prospect and a player to be named from Oakland . The two minor leaguers the Yanks gave up are highly rated prospects.

Another Bull$hit trade! Weaver is one of the best young pitchers in the game. and we get a prospect that Oakland gave up on. We already have Eric Munson for our future at 1B. If they trade Higgy too, that's it, I'm done.
