Done. Unfortunately, the first one has sold multiple counterfeits (some of which I also reported) and it appears, not a single genuine coin.

I wonder how long before eBay only allows certified coins. Not that that would stop all fakes, but I'm sure it would reduce them by quite a bit.

Enjoy every single one of this seller's items lol!
I've already reported a couple of the Sacagaweas where the claim is that it's a "DDO DDR RPM Double Strike CHEERIOS DOLLAR!!! Errors"
I hope to find one of these in my 2000-P rolls one day OMG lol!!!!

That seller with the "cheerios" dollars is an idiot. We messaged back and forth for several days and he will not listen, even though I provided all the links for diagnosis, etc.

Reported the center one. The other two are gone.
Seller relisted the 1914 D on a 24 hour auction.

Do people actually fall for this and spend $2500 on common date "no mintmark" lincoln cents? I have seen these a while just assumed this was someone's attempt at money laundering? Have your dirty money come to you via overpriced coins on ebay.
Seller relisted 2 more.

Seller relisted another 1914 D this time with photos of a genuine coin.
Buyer is sure to get one of the counterfeits they are selling.
Not sure if we can get it removed with the genuine listing photos.

This seller still going at it...

The listings are hilarious and I also noticed that basically ALL this seller's reviews are from purchases, not sales...
Which makes me think...
Maybe a simple solution to enhance the buyer's experiences is for ebay to have two ratings for the sellers?!
Ratings from purchasers, and then a separate one for the seller's own purchases...
Personally I couldn't care less if the seller I'm buying from pays for their own coin purchases quickly and ebay thus decides that paying quickly for the items that they are now trying to rip people off with is somehow applicable to being an honest seller.
Thoughts?!

His coins are real. No one will buy any of his coins. If you look at his sold listings-There are none. It's a free country. You can ask anything you want for something. That does not mean that anyone will buy them. He would most likely list them a lot higher except for the $2500.00 limit. He should know he is wasting his time with such listings. Why bother with listings like his? Waste of time. If ebay allows it, we can't do anything about it.
Relisted again.

Feebay will "allow" anything as long as it has a good prospect of selling.
That’s far from true. You’re either unaware of or ignoring all of the listings that EBay removes. And that includes coins that have already sold.

MFELD
Why would it have to be removed ??
** if it is not allowed it should not post and would not have to be removed.**
Feebay will ONLY remove items which trigger complaints from certain, not all, people.
Very simple! I stand to my statement.
Not going to go in to details.
@YQQ
if it is not allowed it should not post and would not have to be removed.
Computer software can't tell from a listing photo if an item is counterfeit.
Ebay employees that scan new listings don't have the knowledge about coins to detect counterfeits.
No matter what improvements ebay made on removing counterfeits they would still need folks like us to help them.
Feebay will ONLY remove items which trigger complaints from certain, not all, people.
Agree, and ebay should be more proactive in removing items and have coin experts employed to review reports.
The "report listing" link doesn't work all that well.
yes, but that costs money, and there is probably none available for $ 5 a day working 15 hours somewhere in a roofless shack.
joke aside, The ebay penalties should be such that it would discourage anyone from knowingly posting fakes.
But, that brings me back to my old beef...enforcing import restrictions and possession of fakes with heavy penalties... as prescribed by law.
