Wife had to work, ate cheese sandwiches. Neither of my children called or came to see me. But we did have a great church service this morning!! So at least one part of the day was good. NBT

Mine was great.My son was here all weekend and got married on Saturday. My Son is 10 and all Fathers have been great since he arrived. Nothing better than the love of your child

Had a big family cookout with my family & the in-laws, My son & wife got me the 5-DVD Boxed Set of the "Godfather" movies(My favorites). Only Police Officer I saw was in plain clothers at the bash(friend of the family), Maybe it's me but if I ever got jailed you guys would be the last to know about it, I don't think that is something you boast about. Take care.

I had a great fathers'day "weekend"!My daughter was leaving on Saturday for a week to stay with a friend in GA so they took me out to dinner Friday nite.I ate seafood until it came out my ears;it was great.Then on Saturday before she left,I opened my presents.
CJ got me a box of UD Legends '01-'02 Hockey,my daughter gave me
the movie O Brother Where Art Thou,a favorite of mine & my wife gave me Sunday off so I could watch sports all day;golf ,racing, soccer, baseball,horse racing etc....
CJ & I had a blast ripping the hockey & got some nice GU from it which we'll be putting up for trade.
Sorry to hear about the jail time Crum;just shows bad stuff happens to good people.Don't wotrry about what other people think,they just don't understand is all.Sorry to hear noone called you NBT but know that you are a good dad.
All any of us dads can do in this crazy world anymore is try to show our kids the right way & just hope they choose it.My oldest son from my 1st marriage turned out great & my 2 children I have now are both straight "A" students & more importantly are "great kids" who make thier daddy proud every single day.This is my 1st fathers day without my dad,he died last Nov,but I know he is proud of me as I am raising my kids the way he raised us.
So to all of the dads on here;hang in there & a belated happy fathers day to you all!!

Ron-I was just curious as to why you would tell the board of your arrest, It's one thing to boast of a great pack pull not of a "bad pullover". Is that something to be proud of or an example for the youngsters of the board? Would you have boasted if you had killed or injured someone while you were being irresponsible. I may be the only one but I think that's terrible but thankfully no one was hurt. I'm sure they're a few board members who lives have been altered in an alcohol related accident.

There's the crap from a responsible human being!

Yeah, my life has been altered due to alcohol, My dingy wife got a DWI four years ago and it cost me a fortune. She was pulled over right in front of our driveway, Cop say's "where do you live", and she points and say's "right there". Hauled her to the hospital and gave her a test, Bam DWI. Got to spend the whole weekend in Dry-out. Here's what else she got.

Insurance cancelled
lost license ($280.00 to get it back)
$500.00 fine
Treatment classes ($50.00 a session) Three sessions < had to take to get license back
Almost a divorce (very close)
And I know there was more but it was four years ago so I can't remember everything. I do remember it was the worst year of my life. But we learned a very important lesson, neither one of us drives anywhere with even one beer in us. ( helps that our favorite bar is only four blocks away, and her sister works there so we can hitch a ride with her if we are unable to walk)

I cannot speak for Ron, but I can speak for myself. I too was pulled for DUI about 15 years ago, I'm sorry to say I had more then 2 beers. Spent the night in jail and had to call my Dad to get me out. Fortunately the police ("good pullover") got me before I did any harm to anyone, that night. I'm not boasting, proud of it or setting an example for the youngsters of the board. I made a big mistake something I still regret, but I did it. I learned from my mistake and I don't mind telling this board or anyone else I'm only human and I do make mistakes. Some folks will say "if I ever got jailed you guys would be the last to know about it", which is your right to say, but I don't mind telling the board, kids or anyone here my mistakes and if just one learned from it, it was well worth telling them this. So please don't drink and drive, it's a mistake, as you can see with Ron, it don't take many to be considered legally drunk. For I will not drive even after 1 drink nowadays. I'm sorry for all the lives that has been altered in alcohol related accident or any kind of accident for that matter, it's sad. So if you have did drugs or alcohol just sleep it off before you drive, it's a lot better to get home the next day and get in trouble for being late then not making it home at all.

Mike-Well said, We are all human we make mistakes. I'll use this post to apologize to Ron for my harshness.It does amaze me however what people do share publicly on these boards. Glad to see no one was hurt in either incident. Like Mike said if you drink don't even think about getting behind the wheel. That's what significant others/family or friends are for.
