WTB, Keys Needed - PCGS certified Wheats - 1909-S/1909-S VDB/1914-D

I'm looking for a reasonable price for the grade (PCGS only) on the following Wheat cents.

I'm looking to spend under $1,000 per coin if possible. So low grade is what I'm going for. I might go a little higher for a good deal on a higher grade coin.

NOTE: I am mainly just looking for a "hole filler" right now, so if you have a low end coin I'm happy with that as well. $1,000 is my "top end" but any lower end is fine as well.

In other words a fair priced coin up to $1,000 and it's a done deal image

PCGS only.

1909-S
1909-S VDB
1914-D

Edit: bought the 1931-S already!

The problem, IMO, you're going to run into is that collects rarely send in a coin valued at $18+/- when they have to spend +/-$18 to get certified.
Most of the coins valued around that range were either bulk submissions or freebies.

Of course, I probably have some. image

    ........Only 1!
    Boy am I surprised.
    1945 PCGS MS65RD.

All my other Wheatie dupes are proofs.

  • eBay had tons of cheepos, now I'm down to a few teens and twenties remaining, plus the keys image

I'll probably submit my teens and twenties to fill the other gaps.

You'll be able to get a very nice 1909-S for around $1000, I picked up my old PCGS MS65RD for $1008 off of eBay... later sold on eBay for almost $1300. You'll find a great 64RD in the $600-$750 range I think. The SVDB for $1000 you're probably looking at the VG to F range and maybe a VF if you find a smokin deal. If you can, I'd try to find a nice AU in the $1400-$1500 range on that one. Sorry I don't have any right now, but good luck!!!!

  • Anyone have one of these?
  • You try Arizona Jack yet?
