Well I managed to get one coin from the FUN show for my cat collection. I traded an American gold coin for this gold one. This is one of those once a year or decade pickups and the second in my quest for Ol Rolled gold. I would like to thank Evan Gale of Aspen Park Rare Coins for working with me on this.
1422-53 British occupied France Salut d'Or Gold PCGS MS64
British occupied France Salut d'Or Gold (27 mm) Deeply impressed on both sides with full, rich luster. Tied with one other graded MS64. The only other specimen graded at PCGS is graded MS63. Labeled France (Fr.301), this fascinating 15th century gold piece is considered Anglo Gallic coinage. Minted in Rouen, capital of Normandy in northern France while under the rule of Britain's King Henry VI. (Joan of Arc was burned at the stake here.) The obverse is a depiction of the Annunciation of Christ, showing the Madonna receiving a parchment from the archangel Gabriel, over arms of France and England. Reverse depicts a Latin cross with fleur-de-lis and leopard.

Kind of a stick figure cat compared to some of your others though, especially the high relief medals.. but, hey, it's old gold!
My wantlist & references
And at that age it really must have been a interesting line of characters who preserved it. The rolls of those who could afford to sit on bits of gold are slim as it is, but for so many to have had such a keen interest and ability to preserve it's quality...
Just makes you wanna smack those dealers nowadays who are all fingers all the more.. if this could make it 500+ years without it's owners smudging it up, what's their problem!

The ones on the shield look better proportioned.

It's a beauty for sure ... perfectly centered and a strong strike
A great historical gold coin and one that I will add to my collection one day !!
Hard to believe this coin was struck just a few years after the Battle of Agincourt, which was won by Henry V. He died in 1422 and his son Henry VI (then only a few months old) became the 'Child King'. A lot of History associated with this and a lovely addition I'm sure!

Like others have said, this one has had a long line of owners who obviously looked after it well.
