I still kind of like my avatar... Well, only one side is my avatar... Please imagine the green tint as golden. I really have to shoot more pics of this coin sometime to try and capture the true colors. It really is quite beautiful and looks much better than these pics when held in hand! image

I am also kind of fond of this one: image
Another coin I need to take more pics of, please forgive me for not taking the coin out of the 2X2... The purple really pops out in hand with some gold and blue to make it a true eye popper! OK, so I need to take some photography lessons image

I already like this thread and will be back many more times to see the goodies that are posted! image
I can't wait to see more entries from the German heavy weights here...

OMGosh... That first 1 mark is incredible JimK, the second is pretty gooooood looking too! I think I may have been the first under bidder on at least one of those... Spoon, The Nuremberg stuff ranks right up there in the OMG kind of looking stuff as well. Got any duplicates you want to trade? Nice stuff! Wildjag your Hannover coinage especially the 4 pfennig ranks as a I gotta have one that looks like that! NICE Coin(s).
To the Prussian king, Pruessen, your medal is quite nice and one I would be interested in if you are willing to trade it, and Jsayre that 16 groschen is just as incredible looking. Nice coins everyone and equally good pics as well!

BTW, Preussen, you are at 1999 posts... I would like to be the first to enter your 2000 post give-a-way! I would also like to thank you for your posts and the information you share with us here on the forums! To bad your avatar was sold, that would have been a great give-a-way! image

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and pics here for us neophites.

Needless to say that this, just as many other coins I posted in similar image threads, are no longer mine. This one found a welcome home here at the Darkside. A spectacular toner.
