1965 A & BC Rolling Stones ?

I came across a couple of these and was trying to find out a little more about them, like how common/rare are these? I am guessing they were not available stateside? It seems like there are 40 cards in the set, is that correct? Any feedback or info would be appreciated, thank you.

    It is a difficult set to build. It is extremely difficult to build in nice condition. The cards were only issued in England. Unlike the Beatles sets, this set was never issued in the US or Canada.

    Here is a link to my set with a wrapper (3 cards per pack). There are 40 cards in the set. I have never seen an unopened pack. The wrappers are very difficult to find.

    Thank you for the info. You have a great looking set, really cool with the wrapper.

    What would you suggest as the best place to keep an eye out for them? Or is just a crap shoot?

    I built my set by buying cards on the United Kingdom eBay site. This is your best bet to find the cards. Most will be beaters. However, every now and then you will find a great opportunity.

    Just picked up my 1st card in the set. If anyone has any to sell I would be interested.


    Also, condition is not a major concern. Looking to find in any grade.

    Hello to All ,

    The A&BC Rolling Stones set is quite hard to put togther in top condition but when seen can be picked up in lesser condition for $400 or so .

    Douglas Coakley of A&BC thought the set would fly off the shelves but it didn't and the packs were only distributed to the ' test ' shops of the time ,these were mainly situated in London or South Wales (where i lived at the time of issue, alas i was slightly young to be a Stones fan) .
    All of A&BC's production records for the set were destroyed so no production numbers are not known for each individual card .

    Good luck in getting them . I believe a bunch have just been listed on UK e-bay .
