I heard about them, how much are they per box?
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

    I believe they are $130 a box.

  • Opened 4 Boxes. Would have been better off buying the autos I wanted instead, but that isn't as fun.

    Memorabilia

    Burt Ward shirt 182/400
    Peter Sellers Jacket 031/325
    Lee Majors PJ's 06/25
    Ernest Borgnine shirt 41/50
    Tom Green Pants 202/250
    Elliott Gould Sweater 091/100
    Marlon Brando pants 052/100
    Katy Sagal Blouse 027/250
    Steve McQueen jacket 136/350
    Glenn Ford Shirt 208/350

    Autos

    Ed McMahon 201/470
    Dick Van Patten 093/100
    Michael Berryman 038/314
    Corin Nemec 154/200

    Auto/Material

    Cindy Williams Auto/Shirt 123/200
    Morgan Fairchild Auto/Shirt(4 color) 18/25

The break could have been a lot better, but on the other hand it could have been a heck of a lot worse considering the checklist.

Being a fan of horror movies, I'm happy with DVP (Midnight Hour), Berryman (Hills Have Eyes & Devil's Rejects), and Nemec (Chicago Massacre Richard Speck, which is also a D-Ro movie)

    Everything else I'll consider trading.

Thats not bad at all. I consider that case break above average. I'am still waiting for my order from Blowout. Depending on what I pull from that,I would be very interested in the Morgan Fairchild auto. pm sent.
  • I hate to admit Im this old, but there are quite a few people in the set that I have never heard of image

Awesome Product!! I love the cards in hand. They are really sharp looking cards!

My best pull! Tippi Hedren. She starred in the Alfred Hitchc**k film the "Birds". Hedren is also the mother of Melanie Griffith. Auto and piece of her dress on the card numbered 25/25!

  • Congrats on the great pull!

What other autos did you end up getting? Didn't you bust 6 boxes? I'm guessing you got at least 7 or 8 other autos.

Steve Guttenburg,Dee Snider,Katey Sagal,Lori Petty,Billy Dee Williams,Adam West and Molly Shannon autos. Got some nice relics from Ginger Roberts, Carole Lombard,Ernest Borgnine,Burt Reynolds,Ashley Judd,Lori Petty,John Travolta, Stacy Kiebler,James Dean,Dawn Wells,Peter Sellers and Cindy Morgan. Edit to add: I still have one box left. I'am going to not open the last one,and will bust it after some of the hype is gone.
  • You lucked out and got some decent autos. There are a quite a few in the set that I could care less about. Dee is awesome, too bad they didn't use his Captain Howdy picture.
  • Picked up most of the autos I wanted off of Ebay.

Gilbert Gottfried, Tom Green, Dee Snider, Chris Sarandon, Tom Savini, Clint Howard, Warwick Davis, Gina Phillips, and Dina Meyer.

If you are interested in selling/trading your Hedren, let me know, I'm watching for that type of version on ebay. They seem to do about the same as the Fairchild and are all over the place in price. I'd prefer one with just the auto, but would take whatever in that version. Not too fond of the Private Signings auto'd card, but will probably just take what I can get if the price is right.

The only other auto I'll probably pick up is Shawnee Smith, even though I met her last year and have an auto'd 8X10, a signed card would be cool also.
  • local baseball card shop wanted $150 a box. Is this a good buy? He also wanted $38 a pack.

  • Yeah, for a card shop that's a real good buy. Charmcitycards has them for that price. Ebay you might find one for 120-130, but add in shipping costs and time and it's worth picking one up locally if you want it.

Personally, the product is hit or miss. Unless you are looking to gamble, you might be better off spending the money on an auto you want from the set instead.

I picked up 7 autos I wanted for the price of a box where you'd get 1 auto on average, 2 if lucky.

The signer lineup is a solid list, but I'm sure there are a lot you don't really care about and unless you are really into memorabilia cards, inserts, and set building, in reality busting the box might not be worth it.

  • I'm thinking Donruss is up to it's old tricks again and this product really isn't as limited as they want to make it seem. Who knows it might be, but with the way they make the Diamond King 1/1's it seems like they may have done the same for the autos in this set with all the different colors. Only way we'll find out is if 2 autos with the same number of the same person are found in different colors.

If this is true, then all the "limited" autos could really have a higher print run, but just in a different color. I've seen different color dual autos, which makes me wonder if there really is only 50 cards or if they have 50 of each different color combination, which would kill the value of this set.
  • Picked up a Private Signings Hedren via a BIN so now I have all of the celebs in the set that I really wanted.image Still would be interested in the Cinema Stars version, but it's no longer a must have. If I get one, cool, if not, oh well, all I needed was an auto.

I may go after a Val Kilmer auto if I can find one cheap and I may pick up some of the variation colors as long as they look good on the card.

I would love to acquire a Ed O'Neil/Katey Segal dual signature card from this set.
