Q & A Forum
If a person got a 1916-D Mercury back in a bodybag as cleaned - does that mean it is authentic?

Not necessarily. The graders sometimes see the cleaning and no grade the coin before they even check for authenticity. We do grading and authentication as a package deal, not just one or the other.
