Grade Weighting Question

The 1971 Kelloggs baseball set has several variations and a premium of 1.5 has been assigned to the tougher variations. My question is: Am I better off listing a PSA 8 with a grade wight of 2.5 or a PSA 9 with a grade weight of 1.0.
What if the difference deals with higher numbers? For instance, a PSA 8 that is a 5.0 as compared to a PSA 9 that is a 3.5?

If I understand corrently how it works, you'd be better off with the 2.5 weight 8 vs. the 1 weight 9 for your set rating, but vice versa for your GPA. For the set rating, just multiply the weight by the grade and compare. So for your second example, 8*5 = 40 > 9*3.5 = 31.5.

A PSA 8 with a weight of 2.5 is worth 20 points towards your overall point total... A PSA 9 with a weight of 1.0 is only worth 9 points.... the PSA 8 carries more than twice the impact on the overall set rating...
