Crossover and crackout help

Have the current need to do both of the above and have a couple of questions I am hoping someone can answer.
Regarding crossover from sgc to PSA, how is this done. Do I have to break the holders myself? Is there someone I need to contact there?
Secondly, have an 8 st that has a small slight wax stain that appears easily removable. What is the best way to get this card out the current holder for resubmission?
Any help is appreciated.

    Bruce's technique for opening PSA cards by using a knife probably works very well, but he says that sometimes it is very dificult. Another poster about 6 months ago, one of the regulars here who I hope will take credit, suggested teh following technique for PSa cards that I have used very successfully.

    Lay the card on a flat hard surface. I use a peice of corion. Using a hammer, tap firmly around the outside of the case on the sides and top. this will send plastic pieces flying, so wear glasses and don't do it in your wife's kitchen as I did.image Plastic will fly 20 feet. Once the outside edges are cracked off, which actually is pretty easy and lots of fun, and takes about 20-30 seconds per card, then you can pull the front half from the back half, and the card comes out easily. Just starting out, I have done this on about 50 cards and have not damaged any. I have not tried it, but it may work well to combine this method with Bruces, and break off the top border, and then use a knife to work your way around the card.

    I hope whoever wrote about this technique takes credit. It was not my original idea.

    As a matter of fact, I just did this about 3 hours ago. A knife or screwdriver works well on SGC and PSA to crack, but you need to bring out the hammer for BGS/BVG. Start at the top where you have the most room for error. I have never had a problem other than the flying plastic. My two year old and I think it is a blast. Nice Friday night fun.

    I'm not sure if you guys have ever heard of a dremel but its like a high speed drill that you can put a cutting disk on. I think they cost 20 bucks. Much safer on yourself and the card. You just cut along groove on each side, just in a couple sides and bingo.

    Gator> Actually, I use a Dremel tool on BGS slabs when I need to open them. I use the cutting disc and remove the top 1/8" or so revealing the inner seam. Then I use a computer screwdriver to pry the slab apart. You do have to be careful not to force it too much too fast or you can damage the card. You also have to make sure the screwdriver doesn't slip inside the case and touch the card.

    I hear you on that, the bgs slabs are a bit tricky but were on the same page. As I tried my first time with the hammer I said this isn't it.

    One method I would steer clear of, would be trying to melt the case off with a blowtorch.......The results would be disappointing to say the least.

    I use one of the smaller screwdrivers, like the ones you find in eye-glass repair kits. Of course its the bigger version of it... I make sure that the tip is big enough to pry the edge open when I start working. I slip the screwdriver into the side, then twist. So far I haven't had any flying shards and I've worked my way around to where I could just lift the top and take out the card. Never experimented on any other slab though.
    Currently collecting the Nolan Ryan Basic and Topps Player sets.

    A small amount of TNT delicately triggered around the top two corners of the case will work on any company's slab...
