How will the new 4-coin sets be entered into the Registry?

The set has 1 cert number. Could you use it for each demonination?

Am I stupid? This is the very FIRST indication I have had that PCGS is doing the multi holder thing. No announcement? What is the story? Where is the PR? Thanks for informing me. Steveimage

    A cert verification shows

    Date, mintmark: 1988
    Denomination: Gold
    Variety: Gold Eagle Set
    Country: USA
    Grade: PR69DC

I don't know how it would work in the registry. I would love to get a war nick set like this.

That makes two of us! image

I've heard and seen lots of imformation about NGC's multi-coin holder, but nothing about PCGS offering one.

I talked to customer service and apparently its not a released product yet. I know NGC is doing this already. I like it I would like to see all sorts of variations like mint sets, short sets, etc.

    relayer,

    Is this your set?

Did you know you could have the multi-coin holder, or did PCGS just do it and suprise you?

I have read members say that multi-coin slab would only be good for bulk submissions as the like grades could be grouped together. Whereas if it were a single set submission there is a very big chance that they will not all grade the same. Almost everytime you see a set of gold/platinum eagle set in single slabs for sale with the same grades, the cert numbers are not consecutive (i.e. coins were from different submissions and the set was put together). image
