Thank you very much. although you are a bit premature. In spite of an out of focus picture, I had to buy this on ebay

It was the "right" date

fuzzily looked like it had lovely colors

and probably was the least expensive early date 68 I would find

And the seller responded quickly to my question and had a reasonable return policy. Not quite a planned purchase, but a lovely coin. Tremendous eye appeal. Virtually no nicks or scratches or weaknesses (i.e., really a 68 or at least nicer than most 67's), and a colorful point symmetric pattern. Blue, grey, yellow, red, green with most of the color near the rim. Very different from my cameo and near cameos, but very similar to the 1938.

Unless the right 1961 comes along first, my next planned step will be to submit some coins (mostly nickels) to PCGS at Long Beach. For the nickels, I have hopes one raw coin will provide an upgrade, slim hopes for a couple of PCI cross-overs, strong hopes for a couple of NGC cross-overs, and definite hopes for a couple of PCGS upgrades. Of course, I've never submitted before so they are only hopes, not expectations. And I will need to decide how much I care to spend on the hopes/plastic.
