Should I spend $$ to get index card autographs authenicated?

Your opinions are requested as I have over 200 index card autographs from HOF's (Mathews, Drysdale, Lefty Grove, etc.) to minor level stars (Jackie Jensen, Goodman, Lopat, etc.) most from the period 1945-1960). Should I spend $15 to have these autographs authenticated (I know they are true because I got them face-to-face) with selling them the eventual goal? Will I lose at spending $15 each? Thanks.

    My opinion is it depends on the player. Small stars may not be easy to unload and recoup costs. Bigger names should be much easier.

    Just my opinion, but...

    For HOFer's (or significant folks) that died before 1990... YES

    Any other HOFer and you're only concerned about resale... MAYBE

    Anyone else... NO

    I'm generally in agreement with epat, but I'd also look at SMR pricing for signed 3x5s of the players - if they don't think it will sell for at least $40-$50 authenticated, don't spend $15 to authenticate it.

    looks like you have older signed autos - if some playing day autos changed in the person's later years then getting the playing day autographs authenticated could be worth the fees.

    yeah i have a signed piece of paper signed by malik sealy....what is the value of this and should i get it authenticated? btw i got the sig. in person, he died a few years into his career.
