A pretty 13-s type 1 buffalo nickel I purchased..

I picked this one up off e-Bay. The story is....I was looking over a few buffs when this one popped up outta the blue. Here's the sellers images....

I was looking them over when I saw a tad of toning I think on the reverse of this one. The seller was asking $100. below the book value for this one and no mention of any toning or color. Most of you know I have a weakness for the type 1 Buffs so I took a chance and paid his asking price thinking this coin might just be a bit nicer than the sellers scans. Here's what came in the mail.

I had a feeling it would be a bit better than the sellers images but not this nice. Yes, I can see it's not hammered but still very well struck for an "S" type 1. I think it's very attractive and I'm super happy with the deal I got. Comments are always welcome & you can take a stab at the grade if you wish. Housed in a ngc holder.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting. Joe

    sweet example here
i love how images can hide sweet stuff
the color is just enough to bring that "it's all mine" smile on subtle neon pinks and greens...nice...very nice
i love the strike doubling on top of obverse too

    nice lil addition i say...congrats

Also if ya notice this is a strong "Whisker" variety, super strong clashing under the Indian's chin. Which in turn created what some call a "Broken Back" variety on the reverse.

Thanks to all. For what it's worth it's a 64 and looks better than any image I can get of it.
    Take care, Joe
