Do EAC collectors still brush their coins with camel hair brushes?

I've heard of this practice, but didn't really know if it was common or not.

To first obtain, then retain and preserve, that nice smooth glossy appearance so desired by many copper collectors.
Note that it isn't the brush by itself.....the brush should have some residual Care or Blue Ribbon on the bristles. This oil (CFC-based) will remove
grime, haze, pvc, 'soft' green stuff, etc. It will not 'fix' corrosion, porosity, verdigris (hard green stuff), or other severe environmental damage. The base coin itself generally needs to
pretty nice to start with. Once properly brushed, some advocate ~a yearly re-application - probably more so if the coins are kept in a small cotton fiber bag, or some other storage medium the permits exposure to humidity and other environmental contamination.

They use the brush to apply and spread oil to protect their copper and to create an attractive glossy surface. There are a few brands of oil formulated for use on copper coins such as Care and Blue Ribbon.
