I just sent Charmy a 1935-D Lincoln with a retained struck thru wire or staple on the reverse. I have no pic other than what is on my phone.
I know next to nothing about this type of error but in limited research am finding out this is quite a find, especially in BU red condition. This was a bag find believe it or not, I paid a whole 4 cents for this one;-)
Please post your pictures and lets talk about struck thru errors :-)

Did NGC designate this as a Strike-Thru or Lamination

In 2006 when I sent this in for grading, Dave Camire said this was "one of the most spectacular dropped letters that I have seen.... Only one letter, the "D" in INDEPENDENCE, became unclogged. The other letters, "EN E" surrounding the "D," show little detail because the die is still partially clogged or filled with metallic dirt. Note that on this example, the metallic dirt has fallen out leaving an incuse and inverted image of the letter ("D"). The dropped letter "D" may seem a little larger than the original "D" above it because the metallic dirt was flattened during striking." The full article can be found here.

Thanks for the correction. How can you tell that it was messed with PM as opposed to separating on its own?

It looks like someone discovered this while still in circulation and used a carpet knife to peel back the Buffalo's hide to peek at it's skeleton.
The two straight lines that continue are slips with the knife and not lamination striations.
Both have smoothed out as this was probably done 70+/- years ago.

Israel 1 Lira struck through cloth obverse and reverse (and a piece of the edge in between). Looks like a small piece of fabric tangled itself around the planchet. The wavy cloth pattern is very clear.
