TOMB banned?!?

He always had a rough side but I say bring him back!!
Jokes aside his account really is locked per his email list. Anyone else ever even accidantally banned before?

Tom is one of the nicest and I haven't even seen him get controversial.... not with people, on grading, stabbing, etc.....

One would had to have committed a very egregious violation here on a weekend to merit summary bammation.
And many of us would have witnessed the crime.

Eric
Why???
Received same info in his email
TomB is at the top of Santa Claus' "nice" list.
If TomB is banned.....then each and every one one of us is at HIGHER risk. Mind your P's and Q's boys and girls.
Lance.

<< <i>The least likely person on this board to ever be considered for banning. Only Bear when he was here with us would have been less likely to be banned.

Wasn't Bear give a two week "BREAK" of sorts. I have forgotten the details but I think I'm right. It was during a heavy posting streak.

What email list are you referring to Crypto ? If you meant that you aren't able to PM him, there is only one reason for that. I think you can figure that out on your own.

Tom has an email mailing list for when he has updates/new products for sale. I am pretty sure that is what Crypto is referring to.
You inference on being blocked in PMs would mean anything as the person blocked doesn't know it, I believe. Reason I state that is that I have blocked a few whiners/troublemakers and I believe they just think I am ignoring their PMs; rather than just not receiving them.
Also, "Bustcuds" referenced the same info in email, so I would bet money it is an email mailing list that was sent out.

Ever feel like the Bruce Willis character in Sixth sense?
It does appear that Tom is presently blocked from posting or answering PM's, which may very well turn out to be an administrative error. Remain calm. He'll be back in a flash.

Then try logging in as the user
The response after the failed login determines if it is a password issue or a bamming issue
Try bammed redllama9109
Try your own with a bad password
Then try TomB

<< <i>Bochiman, if a member blocks another's PM's, those messages won't show up in the blocked member's PM history. >>

<< <i>I've just read the email from Tom that I received as a customer on his email list. Apparently Crypto79 has a valid question, but it would have served the concern better to have explained the circumstance a bit more.

I would first try not only deleting all cookies but also flushing the cache.
I would try mobile and desktop devices.

I was going to post This after everyone of those.
Yeah. Like maybe an administrative error as was noted earlier. No one is likely to get blocked here presently without a prior warning from TPTB. And again, no one is likely to get bammed without some witnesses to the act that precipitated the exile, which usually gets beat like a rented mule before the storm is over.

It may be the IP address or an IP address block may be bammed and he has unfortunately stumbled into one of the banned ips.
He could try a mobile phone, but he'd need to make sure it's on the cell's data network and not his home wifi.
He could also try logging in from a wifi hotspot
Another remote possibility is a bammed email address domain: eg all aol.com might be bammed. Was the email address recently changed in the profile? Edit: or changed isp's recently? Same example: using a bammed aol.com service provider.

Earlier today, when sending a PM, I got a blocking security screen telling me to copy two security code words, (anti-spam probably?)
I've never seen that before.
So maybe there's a glitch in some accounts while they change their software? >>
I got that security thing once recently, too. I was pasting in a huge amount of data.

I believe that a "blocked" or "bammed" IP address would prevent the forums from even coming up.
