Just wanted to be the first to start a thread calling a sell out of the 25th Anniversary sets. I'm predicting it has already happened as of 3:15pm.

I don't think they are sold out yet. Otherwise they'd just shut down their servers probably.

We've had an order @ credit card acceptance that hasn't moved for 20 minutes. I've seen over 31,000 orders at this point. We'll see I guess...

I hope they are not sold out. I've been trying to get mine ordered since noon. I've got 3 PC's and a MAC working on this and I've tried a variety of browsers without being able to get through the checkout. =(

The US Mint site is still being HAMMERED over 4 hours into it.

I would guess 38000 orders compromising at least 70,000 units are gone.

And some unhappy like me who's been trying all day. Told one of my buddies, he called and got through in 5 trys. Figures that he didn't think to call me and hand me the phone so that I could place mine....

Common sense prevails for me. I didn't have the money to pay it right off as soon as I used the CC so I canceled the order. Sucks to not be able to get it but revolving debt sucks worse.

Huge collector base, every coin forum on the net had multiple 25th Anniv. threads.
I counted 27 threads on this one yesterday. I'm not suprised.

I wonder if they will strike more. They probably can, although they'd cause an uproar in the community that was able to order. However, all of the folks who had to wait until after work or were unsuccessful on the locked up servers are going to to be grabbing the pitchforks.
