Now that my oldest is growing out of searching lincoln cent rolls with her dad (we never did find that 09-svdb) I thought I had turned that dark page of loneliness that every man experiences when his daughter "grows up." No longer impressed by the 2000 WIDE AM cent I pulled from the wife's car just weeks ago, she has aspired to pursue other interests (no, not jefferson nickels) but, cheerleading and (gulp) boys...
ADD MUSIC/ VIOLIN HERE: "Is this the little girl I carried?"
Needless to say I am destroyed.
Well, life has a funny way of pulling the table cloth out from under your dinner and then resetting it in the same motion.
I found this one in her room as I sulked down the hallway last night!
Post a photo of the young numismatist in your life. And enjoy the time; it goes by quickly.

Instead, I'll show you the collection I'm building for her. (There's a picture of her on the right side of the banner.)

All three got proof sets for Christmas, and treasure them. My middle one in the rear is pretty hard-core with me, roll searching nickels and cents, and joining me at the local coin club meetings; the oldest is working on his Lincoln folder, and well...the daughter just thinks we're all a little wierd, but she'll catch the bug soon enough.

Picture was taken on family vacation last summer at the Great Salt Lake.

i must confess, i found that pic online and liked it so much i posted it.......i do have 3 kids but i have never been a fan of posting their pics online, guess i'm weird that way......my wife has a facebook account and feels the need to make public an array of photos and private information, to my chagrin
