Sweet... but IMHO it looks more like a BN designation with good amounts of trace red remains.

Gorgeous copper but I'd have to agree with Broadstruck on the color designation.

    Yep have to agree...!

It could be "Running down a dream". It's a great coin for "An American Girl". I also think "You got lucky"... I really like Tom Petty

Other than that, I like it.

Ha! In posting his comments about my large cent, Rick obviously "Had a Change of heart" or possibly even a "Breakdown" thinking I was going to have a "Wooden Heart" so Rick pleaded with me to "Don't Do Me Like That"! Guess he decided he didn't want to end up a "Refugee" all by himself out in the nosebleed seats, so he had to make sure "I [wouldn't] Back Down" in getting him a decent seat to see Tom (since I'm a member of Tom Petty's Fan Club I get priority ticket sales!). I'm guessing Rick especially didn't want to miss our venture "Into the Great Wide Open" at Verizon Amphitheater where Lion Country Safari used to be here in Irvine.

But I think Rick's ultimate motivation was that he wanted to make sure he was among those "Learning to Fly" at the concert instead of those who would be "Free Fallin" while doing "Mary Jane's Last Dance"!

I actually agree. I saw Charmy's, if that is the same one, at the Las Vegas show a couple of weekends ago...it glowed.

Marauderrt10, over the years there has been a kind of etiquette that has developed on these boards. One of them is that it s not polite to hijack the OP's thread. Maybe at other places it is ok to do this, and I realize that you are new here, so I just thought I would let you know------------BigE

Beautiful large cent, Charmy. And great photo from Todd.

It seems fitting that I weigh in on Tom Petty (my handle is Breakdown). My wife and I are already marking our calendars for the show in the Garden. Always a great concert as long as Mike Campbell is on his game but I do hope they play a little more of the old stuff this tour.

I'm glad most of you are enjoying this large cent! image Seriously, if I all my copper had this eye appeal, I'd be in heaven!

And I know this thread has gotten off topic a bit, but what the heck! Breakdown, my husband and I have seen him twice over the last 3-4 years and have thoroughly enjoyed his concerts. One of the reasons we love seeing him in concert (well, it's certainly not cause he's such a handsome devil!) is because he DOES play all his old music. We find him to be a really great entertainer, and he still sounds fantastic. Hope you get to go, I'm sure you will have a great time!

    Yes, I do agree image

Had the opportunity to view this Large Cent in hand today at the Buena Park show... and yes, it glows! Yes, there is a very tiny spot on the lower obverse and the denticles on the right hand side of the obverse are a little mushy, but this sucker blazes with so much luster and fire-color that such issues are hardly noticable in hand. Very beautiful Large Cent overall. WOW!
