Just found these coins while looking at a few 2009 mint sets. Looks like the DRR's will continue, image

Who to send them off to for attribution?

I labeled DDR-001 and DDR-002 as that was the order I discovered them

PLEASE NOTE The DRR #'s labeled on pics are not correct

Please see Below for proper attribution #'s. They are located about 3/4 of the way down the page

    Congrats on the find.

Unfortunately if this trend continues of finding DDRs within this set the sets will be minted in the millions to meet the demand of those wanting to find these DDRs - and in the end the set will probably have less value than the issue price IMO. Unless I'm wrong and your just one of the luckies who found them image

Send them off to James Wiles at CONECA

You can ask James to forward them to John Wexler after that. I usually provide prepaid envelopes.

The fee is $4.00 per coin plus return shipping if you are a CONECA member or $5.00 plus RS if you are not.

I think the same is true for John Wexler.

email them both for specifics at: jameswiles@sbcglobal.net and jwex@comcast.net

Edited to add: I knew this would happen but did not expect Denver to get into the act! The die shop must have gotten jealous over all the attention that Philadelphia received!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Spotting is not as bad as I was expecting on the Lincoln's. Very few coins had this issue that I saw so far. Staining was visible on a few, similar to what has been seen on the SF Presidential Dollars of 07 and 08

    Thanks guys image

Mine have been mailed out, also some people purchased at the Mint's store already.

The new find took a bit longer than I thought.

50,000 to 100,000 might be a conservative estimate.

With or without the doubled dies, the 95% copper cents in the 2009 Mint Sets should be worth quite a bit, since the 2009-P&D copper (not zinc) cents are available only in the set.

So far found ZERO more of the above coin

    image

Several more of this one, so for now the more common.

PLEASE NOTE The DRR #'s labeled on pics are not correct

I will post the correct attribution #'s once I hear the news

No pics, but I just found what I think is a 2009-D 1c FY SF CDDR-002

Also, I might have an unlisted 2009 FY DDR with the tip of the thumb along the bottom of the last part of the index finger.

The last statement is worthless without pictures. However, most people know my point-and-shoot doesn't do closeups well enough to make suitable picture for a determination on something so small. So, we'll have to see later.... perhaps I can take it to a larger show.

    edit: 20 sets searched.

I just searched the 15 sets my brother received a while back, found 2 of the 1st one and just 1 of the 2nd type. Any market for these yet? Better to leave set intact you think?
