Photo Contest Anyone? Progress Update

It's been almost one year since the last contest.
I do have a TrueView of this PR64 BN Lincoln, but after knocking my head against the wall trying to come close to Phil, I thought others might like to try their hand with it. You or I won't have the advantage of imaging the coin raw like Phil did.
$100 goes to the winner. The winner will be chosen based on a pole posted on this forum. When all the images are received, I will assign a number to each entry that connects the image to the owner.
Image size should be no larger than 640x640
Postage from one member to the next Priority plus $500 insurance. I will reimburse the mailing cost to each member. I won't reimburse any headache medicine costs incurred, however.
If interested please send a PM.
The coin's reverse at first looks like a small pool of grape juice, but under the lights it brightens up to an almost hot pink on the lower two thirds to a candy apple green towards the top. It doesn't seem to translate that way in my images though. If you are up to the challenge, here's your chance.
Here is the TrueView and then a few of my feeble attempts.

I think we should post our attempts at the Indian cent here, whataya say?
<< <i>I've still have my pictures of that proof Indian cent from Brandon.... I doubt I would have won that one, but I'll play if you get some other contestants.

That's fine with me, but Brandon can spring for the winner of that one.

I gotta sit this one out, moving back to college soon and have no time.
<< <i>Can i wager a guess that someone with a Tilt/shift lense will win?
That is a definite advantage. Sure wish I had one.

That's really too bad. I know you'd love time with this one.
I'm leaving the entry period open until 8:00 PM (Pacific) tomorrow nite. So far we're at nine combatants. I'd like to see about 15 or so. I know there are a lot of great photographers out there that haven't responded.

Have a P&S camera that would be interesting to try as well as a DSLR.....
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I think you'd have a lot of fun with this one. I've seen a lot of nice images from P&S cameras.

Ok Bob, pencil me in then, if you would. I will have to, literally, dust off the imaging station as I haven't done much for awhile, but it should be fun.

If I've left anyone off the list, please contact me and I will fix it.
After all the addresses are received, I'll map out the route and get the coin sent out, hopefully early tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone and have fun with it.

<< <i>I'll take a swipe at it. I always say that the brilliant proofs are the toughest coins to image. >>
Yeah they're pretty tough.
I've heard lots of comments that the TrueView photos are quite light. And indeed they are when I see them posted in the forum - but they're darker (or more robust maybe?) in PhotoShop for instance. I was racking my brain as to why this was occurring and discovered, somewhere along the line, an issue with color profiles. I think I've fixed this and so it shouldn't be much of an issue from now on (hopefully). You can assign all past images with the color profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and the image will subsequently be less washed out.
Have fun with the contest!

<< <i>Here is the finalized list and the order in which the coin will travel. The order is set geographical and will start in California, where I am. It should save a little time since it won't be crisscrossing the country. It will be making a stop to 15 states and 26 contestants and will end up in Connecticut before returning to California.

Here is my first attempt.
Granted it is from my iphone in poor lighting just after the exchange during lunch with Carl who is already having nightmares with his attempts in capturing the color.

<< <i>That one has already turned out better than my obverse shots. >>
Guess I'll have to turn in two sets of photos. One with the SLR and one with the iPhone. Just wait till the Iphone gets some real lighting.
So once we take the images do we simply post them here or ?
<< <i>Quick question,

No send them to robec.
robec will show them all at once in another thread.

Do you think the contest should be over with around new years?

As long as there arent too many Becokas that keep the coin a week, we should finish before the year is over.

Hey, to be fair the destination changed 3 times while I had it and it was a holiday weekend where the post office was closed.

It will be interesting, this is a beast of a coin and I for one could not capture it's beauty no matter what I tried. I was tempted to crack it out and try but I guess that's a no no.
