I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I will have my aviator coin at the show so you can compare it to the picture (it looks just like the picture- Brandon takes excellent photograghs).
Collecting:
Conder tokens
19th & 20th Century coins from Great Britain and the Realm
I will also have this coin at the show if anyone is intersted.
<< <i>Sorry, I don't consider that the "Northwest"
Hey that's the Northwest all right.
Check it out - you live in the North Wet.

I sold some metals to Dick Grinolds and bought a few tokens including a very nice Spence conder token from Allan Davisson.
All in all, a very enjoyable time!

Saturday- After fulfilling some prior obligations in the morning, I made it to the Earle Brown Heritage Center a little after noon. There was a decent crowd- I’ve seen bigger crowds and I’ve seen smaller crowds. No audible “din.” I started my trip around the bourse counterclockwise, as usual. My main objectives for this show were to look for nice mint state Indian Head/Not One Cent CWTs, nice mint state Oaxaca Revolutionary Coppers, and to cherrypick some nice mint state Lincoln Cent RPMs. The first two ended up being a total bust. Didn’t see any of the CWTs and the only Oaxaca Coppers I saw weren’t up to snuff. At the bigger shows like this one, many of the dealers don’t bring binders or boxes with Lincolns in 2x2s as it simply isn’t worth it to bring the cheaper material. One of the first binders I searched had a beautiful lightly toned 1937-D with something going on with the mintmark. The lighting wasn’t the greatest and I couldn’t tell what was up with the mintmark. The plan was to pass on it for now, check out my references that night at home, and come back tomorrow to buy it if desired. Talked to foodude for a little bit and saw Geoman, but he was busy at the time and did not get to speak with him. At another dealers table I purchased a really pretty 1952-S Lincoln RPM with some split serifs. Before leaving for the day, I ended up buying a Northwest Coin Club medallion in copper for $3. After buying it, they also gave me an aluminum piece. Pretty neat!
Sunday- Well, Saturday night, I remembered to dig out my Wexler/Allen/Bordner Lincoln RPM reference and determined that the 1937-D was likely the 1937-D WRPM-003 which meant that it was back to the show. It’s a rather minor RPM but would be a neat addition, and the coin was just plain pretty. Doors opened at 10AM and I made it in about 10:15. Straight to the dealer's cent binder and start flipping through… and the coin was no longer there. ARRRRRRGH! Nooooo…. I was just shocked that the coin had been purchased. Stupidly, I decided not to buy the coin at the time because I didn’t feel like spending the 14 dollars. I’m still kicking myself for that dumb move. Sometimes you just buy the coin. The show was pretty much dead and some dealers were already gone, so I headed over to an “Evil Temptress” I did not visited the day before. He’s an evil temptress because- even though he is a guy- he usually has something nice which will tempt me to part ways with my money. I searched through a couple boxes and ended up buying a nicely toned 1945-D Mercury Dime.
Some quick observations…
-I asked a couple dealers how the show went and it seemed like it was just mediocre.
-Saw some really nice coins. One dealer had about 5 very nice PCGS slabbed Fugios in his case along with a handsome two-toned PCGS55 Mass. Cent, a PCGS64BN Mass. 1/2Cent and some pretty mint state slabbed HTTs.
-Saw a really pretty mint state 1838 Large Cent in faded mint red in a Numistrust66 slab.
-One dealer had probably 15-20 slabbed Norse American medals in his case. Wasn’t sure if they were for sale or if they were just part of the 75th Anniversary for the Northwest Coin Club. The Club was selling similar looking medallions and handing out plenty of free material.
Everyone likes pics, so here are some pics of my haul. I don’t have a photography setup and just improvise. The copper medallion is still in its bag so I just imaged the aluminum piece. For less than $30 I picked up a few pieces and had fun. Success!
They were for sale, at least most of them. Not sure if the Proof 63 is for sale or not. He has a similar set up at the shows I've seen him at.

Hey, foodude- what's with the icon???
I don't know, it is suppose to be a toned quarter that Brandon photograghed. I didn't change it, but is now something different.
On Friday, the traffic and show was really slow - didn't sell much. However, Saturday was much better with crowds back to normal "pre-recession" levels. I was busy selling pretty much all day Saturday until 4:00 pm when it started to slow down. Sunday was slower, but typical for a Sunday. I usually set up with another dealer and help him out. But on Friday I noticed one dealer didn't make it and asked the bourse chairman if I could fill that spot. He said I could so I set up on my own for Saturday and Sunday.
I did sell my 1908 $10 "No Motto" Eagle right away Friday morning to another dealer before the show opened. I also sold my UHR coin to a dealer. He had a half dozen PCGS MS70s First Strike in his case priced at $3500.
I had Greg (foodude) show me his icon coin and all I can sayis WOW! The coin looks exactly like the picture. Greg is the guy to see if you want Franklins, and I took advantage of that. Also, Lee Orr Rare Coins always has some great inventory and I managed to pick up a nice 1888 Liberty Nickel in PCGS MS64.
