    It sure would be nice!

It would be even nicer if they still used coin in their slot machines!!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Whoa, there, Lee! Have you ever seen what they look like? To impress the folk, the coins are dropped from a higher height to create a greater racket. They end up chewed up.

That falls on my birthday (that Friday) so I would love to have gone....but, work precludes fun and I will be in Asia instead (Korea/China/Japan)
I don't know whether to image or be image for that

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I already asked the missus. We're on. Half our money on gambling/entertainment, half on coins. Good thing I'm the bookkeeper.

We are really looking forward to this show. We really don't know what to expect but I already know there will be a lot more than the 25 dealers. Plus we're hoping that we will have a nice turnout from the collector community. I've spoken with several that plan to attend.

This is a new venture for us. It will be exclusive, but free, to all PCGS dealers and club members.

It should be a fun couple of days at the Venetian.

We're always looking for an excuse to go to Vegas.

But if I go to this show, I am out the door by Friday noon. Vegas over the weekend is insufferable.

We have two mottos here in Sin City.

"The money that comes to Vegas, stays in Vegas...."

    and

"Las Vegas: Seven Deadly Sins -- One Convenient Location!"

Casual dining restaurant recommendation at The Venetian is Grand Lux Cafe. It is operated by the same company that operates the Cheesecake Factory. Extensive menu with excellent, large portions and reasonably priced considering your location on The Strip and what you might get elsewhere at some prominent-name-chef restaurant where they put a few leaves of spinach on a tiny plate, call it a fancy speciality salad and charge twenty bucks.

Funny, I'm posting this from Vegas right now - here for the American Acadamy of Orthopaedic Surgery conference. Drunk doctors behaving badly image

Race car driving tomorrow. Guess it beats working.

April is just enough time away - usually it takes me at least six weeks to recover. I'll come back for the coin show if it doesn't conflict with my youngest girls' Easter vacation.

We will publish a list of table holders in a couple of weeks. As I said already there will be a lot of other dealers in attendance as well.

Meanwhile you might contact your favorite dealer and ask him if he'll be there.

If you plan on attending you should contact Ana and have her reserve your hotel room. The $129 room rate won't last forever.

Sounds like fun, but I just got back from Vegas. I had a great time, ate well and my wallet lost weight!

I can't make this show because I am going back in May for the USBC National Bowling Tournament and 3 trips to Vegas in 4 months just won't happen for me.

But please post about all of the things that I miss! (feel free to rub it in!)
I'd keep playing. I don't think the heavy stuff will be coming down for quite a while!

My husband and I already have reservations at the Venetian for the 17,18,19. The rooms are free-bees. We go there a lot. Only three and one-half hour drive. Do i still have to e-mail PCGS to get passes?
    Thank you

No one needs a 'pass'. Security at the door will confirm active PCGS Dealer or Collector Club Member status.

I love those 'free' rooms in Vegas as well. It took me awhile before I realized they were costing me a few thousand a night!!image

I might be there for this show but I'm not totally sure of that. It is too bad that there are at least two other shows on the west coast happening at the same time.

People should also remember that those comped rooms come at a rather expensive price courtesy of the casino floor. $129 per night is a great deal for a 5-diamond rated hotel such as The Venetian.

You have to be a paying member, but its not very expensive, especially at the Platinum level where you get 8 freebie gradings.

If you are planning to attend the Vegas show, unless your room is 'comped', you should get in touch with Ana and confirm your room at $129.

Tradedollarnut may be right - that Vegas is empty and there are an abundance of rooms - but we're offering to arrange your reservation as a free service.

I'd rather have a reservation that I can cancel vs. showing up and finding out all the 'cheap' rooms are gone.

Plus, I just heard that Citibank - now that the government is the majority owner - is planning a big 'meeting' in Vegas....... image
