Reverses of 07's!! I had 2 boxes of 15 just delivered. The one box of 15 yielded two 2008 Reverse of 2007. The other box of 15 yielded 1- 08/07!! The boxes were shipped next day air UPS.......more details shortly!!

Cha-Ching!

I've ordered recently and scored 0 as I suspected that there were more there but they were deep in the warehouse. It looks like the recent move brought those to the surface.

Going to the mint's website, it appears that someone else has discovered this windfall as the coins are now on back order until 1/30/2009. This tells me that someone has placed a rather large order and there is no point in me ordering. I just cannot afford to continually send these back so I won;t be playing this time around.

Congrats to you though!

Both boxes of 15 contained a hodgepodge of different boxes. Some boxes were lighter blue while others were darker. The UPC's were also on different parts of the individual SAE's. The 08/07's UPC's were in different locations than the others. The UPC's of the 08/07's were located on the top part of lids on the top lid of the covers. All the other UPC's were located on the bottom of the individual boxes. I can tell that these orders were put together from different lots/sources and probably are the end of there inventory. Some boxes were damaged, some were missing COA's, some were loose in the box. If you want any 2008's you better order soon because I bet they are just about out! Maybe you'll find some 08/07's!! Pretty exciting stuff!

Lee- These have said Backorder for several weeks. These orders of mine were placed 1/5 and 1/6. Just an FYI.

Interesting. I had 10 ship today from the mint and I have a box of 15 sealed at home that were delivered last week. I had an order of 99 that I canceled, bumber!

It's real easy to see the difference with the 2007 reverse. In the word United, it looks just like the U I just printed.

Was this error restricted to the burnished uncirculated coins? I've seen this question answered both ways, altho not recently, which is why I
thought I'd ask.

I got a shipping notice yesterday that the ones I ordered from the Mint the first week of January have shipped.

They'd been saying backordered until a few days ago, so I was surprised to get the shipping notice.

I am not surprised to hear this at all. Definitely does sound like a mixture of either returns or leftovers that were "rediscovered" during cleaning.

As for the number...IMO this actually helps validate the thinking that 46k+ actually exist. If people were really checking these at the fulfillment centers when the hype first hit, don't you think they would've discovered them by now? I could be wrong, but I'll pass on the lottery this time around.

2 that I ordered on Dec 30 and shipped Jan 14 arrived today -- 2008 reverse.
