Of course, the general significance and value of pedigrees depend on the series or numismatic specialty. For my collecting interests (colonial and early American), I'd say:
John Roper Garrett Norweb John Ford (including FCC Boyd) Hillyer Ryder Richard Picker Frederick B. Taylor Sylvester Crosby Joseph Mickley Edward Maris
And, since there are so many others that are very much worth collecting, here's my honorable mention list: Eliasberg Pittman Robert A. Vlack (plate coins for his books) Walter Breen (plate coins for his books) James A. Stack Hain John Griffee Colonel James Ellsworth Lorin Parmelee John Story Jenks Waldo Newcomer
Alright, I searched on here and couldn't find any information about the Jenks Pedigree. Anyone have any good info on it? I live down the street from the JS Jenks Elem. School in Philadelphia and I'm a big history buff. Had no idea he was a coin collector
It would be an interesting "registry" so to speak to try and research the top 10 of all series, ie: gold dollars, quarter eagles, half eagles etc etc etc etc.
Anyone interesting in giving that a try, we would be happy to give you the appropriate page on our website with credit to you ( or y'all if there's more than one person involved in this research ) and also issue the appropriate press releases etc.

Actually, it's not a bad example for anyone interested in assembling a list of great collectors/collections in any area of numismatics.
