He came back to my table a day later and bought an 1806 Bahamas halfpenny -- a type that not only features a ship, but mentions EXPULSIS PIRATIS or "Pirates Expelled." Pretty cool stuff! I wish I had a half roll of them ... but I only had the one.
Here is an image of a less-nice one from the collection at Notre Dame:
Betts medals, colonial coins, US Mint medals, foreign coins found in early America, and other numismatic Americana
What say you...

<< <i>HUBBA HUBBA! Thats the coolest example of that issue I have sem yet! WOW! >>
ahooka454, if you're speaking of my Hudson, thanks! It's quite possibly one of the nicest toned examples in the hobby. This example is out of the "Robert Prescott Collection". They are VERY difficult to find with any eye appeal not to mention decent toning. Here's the entire coin... The only thing is that the images don't relay the great luster...
I love those Mardis Gras pieces. Those ships are very cool looking.

It's a token from the Israel Government Coins & Medal Corp. It was a freebie for people on their subscription list. My brother brought it back from a trip to Germany to see his girlfriend's family.
