So, what is it? Paint? Plastic?
Did you actually pull it from circulation yourself?

It appears to be paint. This might explain why the Franklin Mint was involved.

It was circulating on a popular internet auction site.

However, it could be a fake because I bought it raw and it did not come with a certificate of authenticity.image
  • I've learned more about the Silver Surfer this week than I learned about John Adams last week.

    Is the surface smooth??

The surface is smooth. You can see where half-tone screening was used for the picture.
